Stopwatch Urgent Care is hiring a full-time Urgent Care Physician for its Auburn, Alabama clinic, with coverage also needed at the nearby Opelika clinic. Auburn is described as a vibrant college city in east-central Alabama, home to Auburn University, with a strong local economy and a growing population. The physician assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients with acute and episodic conditions; performs common urgent care procedures; orders and interprets in-house labs and imaging; prescribes treatment; educates patients; and completes same-day charting in Experity EMR. Physicians make their own clinical decisions while supported by established protocols, a dedicated clinic team, and clinical leadership. Onboarding includes a structured clinical orientation. The rotating schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts one week and four the next. There is no on-call work or overnight work, and weekends rotate. The clinic averages three to four patients per hour. Schedules are published in advance through a self-scheduling app, and additional shifts are available to pick up. Compensation is an hourly rate based on experience and credentials, with time-and-a-half after 40 hours and productivity incentives available above base pay. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 may be offered based on experience and start date and requires a 12-month commitment. Relocation assistance may also be available. The employer provides company-paid malpractice coverage, DOT Medical Examiner training, a generous CME allowance, and a benefits package described as nationally recognized among private urgent care organizations.
