About The Position

Atrium Health is hiring a full-time nurse practitioner or physician assistant for its Urgent Care team at Prosperity Crossing. The role is part of a network of more than 30 urgent care locations in the Charlotte metro area, focused on evidence-based medicine and high-quality patient care. Providers have access to consultations and standardized care protocols, and work in state-of-the-art centers equipped with imaging, labs, and an electronic medical record integrated with Atrium Health. The organization also coordinates with local emergency departments to transfer patients who need acute care. The position averages three 12-hour shifts per week, with every other weekend included. Centers are generally open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. The ideal candidate can work as a solo provider and has experience in urgent care, family medicine, and/or emergency medicine. The listed pay range is $54.90–$82.35. Compensation may depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and training. Additional compensation may include shift or on-call premiums and incentives for select positions. Requirements

Nurse practitioner or physician assistant (NP/PA).
Two years of experience in urgent care, family medicine, and/or emergency medicine.
Ability to work as a solo provider.

Responsibilities

Provide urgent care services using evidence-based care and standard protocols.
Work as a solo provider when needed.
Coordinate transfers with local emergency departments for patients requiring acute care.
Participate in a base schedule averaging three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend.
