About The Position
University Recreation & Wellness (URecWell) at Florida Gulf Coast University seeks student workers for the 2026/2027 academic year. URecWell’s mission is to empower its community to actively pursue holistic wellness and foster a culture of community, growth, integrity, and quality. Available student work areas include Aquatics (Lifeguard); Facilities Operation & Memberships Services (Customer Service Representative); Fitness (Fitness Attendant, Group Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer); Wellness (Peer Health Educator); RecVentures (Trip Leader, Waterfront Services Attendant); and Sports Programs (Sport Programs Official). Successful candidates are expected to seek new approaches to improve outcomes and remain open to feedback and ideas; lead with integrity, produce high-quality work, and persevere to meet deadlines and deliverables; and thoughtfully share information, build partnerships across departments, communicate respectfully, and support colleagues in achieving shared goals. Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled as a student at FGCU throughout the appointment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to excellence in service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties associated with the selected student worker position and work area.
- Seek new approaches to improve outcomes and remain open to feedback and new ideas.
