About The Position

Currey Ingram Academy is seeking a dynamic and experienced Upper School Spanish Teacher to join our dedicated faculty for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate is a passionate educator with a strong background in Spanish and a commitment to helping students grow as confident and capable language learners. This full-time position includes teaching Spanish levels I–IV in grades 9–12, as well as elective courses. The successful candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm for differentiating instruction, engaging students in second language acquisition, and fostering a collaborative, student-centered classroom environment. In addition, candidates should be eager to work with colleagues to design and implement evidence-based instructional practices, provide individualized academic and mentoring support, and contribute to the broader school community through advisory, extracurricular involvement, and/or committee work. Currey Ingram Academy is a co-ed, college-preparatory day and boarding school (JK–12 for day; 9–12 for boarding) located in beautiful Brentwood, TN. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Spanish.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with classroom technology.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior teaching experience, particularly at the high school level.
  • Experience supporting students with learning differences.
