About The Position

Springside Chestnut Hill Academy is accepting applications for various coaching positions for the winter 2026-2027 season, including Basketball Upper School, Assistant (Girls) Coach Middle School, Head (Girls) Coach Middle School, Assistant (Girls) Coach Wrestling Upper School, Assistant Coach Boys Winter Crew Upper School, and Assistant (Boys) Coach. The successful candidates will be coaches dedicated to developing scholar-athletes, demonstrating strong character, professionalism, relational skills, and serving as positive role models. The winter season runs from December through February.

Requirements

• For Upper School coaching positions, varsity high school playing experience is required.
• Prior coaching experience is required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Positive role model, mentor, and teacher of the sport.
• Must provide instruction to instill a strong work ethic, responsibility, teamwork, sportsmanship, self-discipline, leadership, and self-confidence in players.
• Must be able to deal with a diverse array of contacts.
• Must be available for all practices and competitions during the coaching season.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• College playing experience preferred for Upper School coaching positions.

Responsibilities

• Organizes tryouts and all practices.
• Helps players understand the program objectives.
• Communicates clear expectations to the players and parents.
• Represents the school in a manner that exhibits and promotes SCH's mission.
• Develops positive, productive relationships with the entire SCH community.
• Keeps accurate attendance records.
• Keeps the Athletic Director informed of problems and/or concerns.
• Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or his designee.
