About The Position

Springside Chestnut Hill Academy is accepting applications for various coaching positions for the spring 2027 season, including Baseball Upper School, Assistant Coach Girls Lacrosse Upper School, Assistant Coach Middle School, Head Coach Middle School, Assistant Coach Softball Upper School, JV Head Coach Middle School, Head Coach Tennis Upper School, and Assistant (Boys) Coach Track Middle School. The successful candidates will be coaches who are willing to develop our scholar-athletes while demonstrating strong character, professionalism, relational skills, and who are positive role models, appropriately utilizing the platform of their sport. The spring season begins in February and runs through May.

Requirements

• For Upper School coaching positions, varsity high school playing experience is required.
• Prior coaching experience is required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Positive role model, mentor, and teacher of the sport.
• Must provide instruction to instill a strong work ethic, responsibility, teamwork, sportsmanship, self-discipline, leadership, and self-confidence in players.
• Must be able to deal with a diverse array of contacts.
• Must be available for all practices and competitions during the coaching season.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• College playing experience preferred for Upper School coaching positions.

Responsibilities

• Organizes tryouts and all practices.
• Helps players understand the program objectives.
• Communicates clear expectations to the players and parents.
• Represents the school in a manner that exhibits and promotes SCH's mission.
• Develops positive, productive relationships with the entire SCH community.
• Keeps accurate attendance records.
• Keeps the Athletic Director informed of problems and/or concerns.
• Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or his designee.
