About The Position

This is an EXTERNAL VACANCY - OPEN TO GENERAL PUBLIC for a UNIVERSITY SECURITY OFFICER I, SR-14 (SELECT CERT: DRIVER'S LICENSE), BU-03. There are MULTIPLE POSITIONS available at the UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII AT MANOA - VP FOR ADMINISTRATION - CAMPUS SERVICES, located on the MANOA CAMPUS, OAHU. The salary is $4,054 Monthly. Applicants must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Requirements

One (1) year of progressively responsible work experience in the enforcement of security laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the protection of personnel and property.
Possess a current, valid State of Hawaii Security Guard License at the time of appointment.
Possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
Obtain valid First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificates or equivalent within six (6) months from the date of employment.
Complete and submit the Waiver of Liability and Release Form for suitability investigations.
Satisfy employment eligibility verification requirements of the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.
Pass reference checks of previous employers.
Pass criminal history record checks (for certain positions).

Responsibilities

Patrols the campus and other assigned areas to enforce laws, rules and regulations for the protection and security of personnel and property.
Detects and prevents attempts by persons to violate the law.
Conducts investigations of violations.
Prepares reports.
Takes appropriate action.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
