About The Position

The University Real Estate Communications and Contract Manager reviews transactions that require submission to higher-level administration and prepares communications that give a thorough overview of the purpose, value, and long-term impact of the transaction for administration and Board of Trustees review. Performs contract oversight of agreements, leases, and amendments through University approval routing to ensure all documents are properly monitored, executed, and maintained in accordance with University policies and legal requirements. Assists with departmental messaging for real estate transactions involving sensitive negotiations, public interest, donor engagement, and community impact. Creates project summaries and status reports for senior administration. Monitors and updates websites, social media, and other public-facing communications for the department. Ensures leadership, trustees, and stakeholders understand the purpose, impact, and strategic value of transactions and projects. Works with all team members to improve compliance, reduce risk, track obligations, and increase efficiency in managing acquisitions, leases, and contracts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience; OR master's degree and two (2) years of experience.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license.
  • At least 19 years of age at time of hire.
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report in compliance with University policies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into concise board summaries.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong level of professionalism.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced editing skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
