About The Position

SKF is seeking a Facilities & Real Estate Manager – AMPAC Region to lead facility operations, maintenance, and real estate strategy across their manufacturing, warehouse, and office locations throughout the region. This role ensures that all sites operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with local regulations while supporting long-term business growth. The position involves steering country teams that oversee day-to-day facility operations at key sites while providing strategic guidance, governance, and project leadership across the broader AMPAC portfolio. This is a high-visibility role that blends hands-on operational oversight with regional real estate planning and capital project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Real Estate, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in facilities management within a manufacturing or industrial environment, with multi-site responsibility preferred.
  • Experience supporting or managing facilities across multiple countries.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, industrial utilities, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience managing capital projects and real estate transactions.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, site plans, and utility schematics.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across cultures and time zones.
  • Willingness to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

  • Manage leases, renewals, terminations, and rent negotiations for all AMPAC locations.
  • Negotiate leases with support from real estate partners and local purchasing teams, to ascertain that those are within the companies’ directives and best practices.
  • Lead real estate investment and divestment projects in the region. Ascertain to use market best practices to obtain the best results and reduce risk and liabilities for SKF.
  • Track critical dates, occupancy metrics, and portfolio performance.
  • Manage quality of Real Estate data (share lease contracts and documents from the countries to lease admin, etc).
  • Support site selection, due diligence, and financial modeling for new facilities, expansions, or consolidations.
  • Collaborate with finance, PX, ESG and legal teams across multiple countries to ascertain that SKF’s properties are financially and operationally effective, attract top talent, meet our sustainability goals, and mitigate any future risks or liabilities.
  • Serve as liaison and provide leadership and oversight for facility operations across multiple manufacturing and office locations within the region.
  • Ensure reliable operation of critical utilities including HVAC, electrical, compressed air, boilers, chillers, water systems, and waste systems.
  • Provide support and lead standardization of preventive and predictive Facility maintenance programs across the region as required.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DEP, and equivalent regulatory bodies across the region.
  • Partner with regional EHS teams to support audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain emergency response plans and contractor safety protocols across all sites.
  • Ensure that all sites are managed towards achieving SKF’s Sustainability goals.
  • Steer local teams on facility upgrades, expansions, and infrastructure improvement projects across the region, in compliance with Real Estate and Building construction guidelines set up by Investment and Asset management team.
  • Coordinate with Legal, architects, engineers, contractors, and permitting authorities in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ensure projects meet requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Develop and manage regional REFM operating and capital budgets.
  • Track utility consumption and implement cost-saving initiatives across sites.
  • Prepare financial models for lease vs. buy decisions and capital investments.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, and EHS teams across the Americas.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on facility performance, real estate strategy, and capital project status.
  • Implement KPIs and metrics to measure and manage operational and financial performance of Real estate portfolio.
