About The Position

The Facilities Leader is the single point of contact and Building Owner for all Facilities needs (Maintenance, Housekeeping, Roads & Grounds). They are responsible for strategic planning to execute a high level of facility services within their footprint. They will work closely with the business partners and tenants to ensure execution of the service agreement. This role collaborates with occupants, business teams, and cross-functional facilities partners to deliver a high-quality workplace experience while driving continuous improvement in service, cost, and responsiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Facilities Management or equivalent experience
  • 2 years prior experience as Facilities Management Representative or equivalent in a manufacturing facility highly preferred
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across frontline teams, tenants, and leadership.
  • Finance & Budget planning experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing or complex corporate environment.

Nice To Haves

  • BOMI, IFMA, 6 Sigma or other applicable professional certifications
  • Knowledge of Maximo or equivalent Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Experience with vendor management, service contracts, and performance tracking
  • Electrical & Mechanical education and experience with Building Management Systems such as HVAC, Fire Suppression systems, Compressed Air, Steam / Chilled Water, Security, and Mobile Equipment
  • Manufacturing System knowledge preferred (GMS, Business Plan Deployment & problem solving)

Responsibilities

  • Lead a strong safety culture and ensure work is executed in compliance with GM safety requirements and contractor safety expectations.
  • Ensure service providers comply with applicable safety standards, incident response requirements, and corrective action expectations.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for tenants and business partners within the assigned building or site.
  • Communicate operational updates, disruptions, and improvements clearly.
  • Oversee execution of maintenance, housekeeping, and roads and grounds services to ensure safe, timely, and consistent delivery.
  • Monitor service levels, address day-to-day issues, and escalate chronic or systemic concerns when broader support is needed.
  • Drive urgency in response and resolution of operational issues and emergencies.
  • Lead tenant interface meetings and maintain clear communication on service needs, issues, and planned work.
  • Respond to operational issues outside of regular business hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Use data, service trends, and customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities and implement practical solutions.
  • Manage operating budgets, forecasting, and cost savings opportunities.
  • Support capital planning and aging asset strategies.
  • Support workspace transformation efforts and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver local change initiatives successfully.
  • Partner with and ensure service providers are performing to agreed service levels.
  • Lead incident investigations, corrective actions, and preventative measures.
  • Partners with Facility Engineering, Construction, Environmental, Real Estate, Communications, and related teams to coordinate work within the assigned footprint.
  • Represent tenant needs in planning discussions and ensure customer issues are translated into actionable facility solutions.
  • Foster an inclusive, team-oriented work environment built on accountability, feedback, and recognition.
  • Provide coaching, training, and daily direction to support consistent execution and team development.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment, timely problem solving, and strong customer focus in a fast-moving operating environment.
