University Co-Op Student - Real Estate - 4 Months - Fall 2026
About The Position
Hydro One is seeking a University Co-Op Student for a 4-month term in Real Estate, starting in Fall 2026. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in the acquisition and management of real estate assets within Ontario's energy industry. The student will work with the Hydro One Real Estate team, assisting in various activities related to property rights, market investigation, valuation, and land rights management. This position provides exposure to interactions with government bodies, private landowners, legal professionals, and elected representatives, contributing to professional development in a large, publicly held company.
Requirements
- Discipline: Real Estate (e.g. Bachelor of Commerce, Real Estate and Land Use Planning)
- Academic Level: Minimum 2nd year of program completed
- Must have a valid licence to drive in the Province of Ontario.
- Must have access to a vehicle for periodic travel to work locations.
- Must be enrolled in post-secondary level studies and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work term (exceptions made if work term is required for graduation).
- Must have obtained a proper work permit and a Social Insurance Number (SIN) if an international student.
Responsibilities
- Assisting Hydro One Real Estate staff in acquisition of property related activities.
- Potentially assisting with property management related activities.
- Gaining experience with market investigation, valuation, acquisition and management of real estate assets.
- Interacting with government, public and private sector land owners, legal professionals and elected representatives.
