About The Position

The Universal Banker is an entry-level position that assists with sales, products, and service activities in coordination with the customer service team. The role aims to foster customer relationships and loyalty while helping increase sales to individual consumer clients. It is a part-time position for 20 hours at the Broadway/96th Branch in New York, New York. The listed annual salary range is for full-time positions and is prorated for part-time hires; the corresponding hourly rate is $24.05–$31.37.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Previous retail banking or similar experience required.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic account opening for existing customers.
• Provide service to internal and external customers to resolve account service issues.
• Execute financial transactions in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
• Refer opportunities to segment partners where appropriate.
• Create sales opportunities from service transactions and resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and effectively.
• Support branch sales and service activities by participating in seminars, micromarketing events, promotional campaigns, and product initiatives.
• Adhere to operational controls, including legal, corporate, and regulatory procedures, to ensure the safety and security of customer and bank assets.
• Assess risk appropriately when making business decisions, including protecting the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients, and assets; comply with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies; exercise sound ethical judgment; and transparently escalate, manage, and report control issues.
