About The Position

The Universal Banker is an entry-level position responsible for assisting with sales, products, and service activities in coordination with the customer service team. The role aims to foster customer relationships, build loyalty, and help increase sales to individual consumer clients. Duties may include other job-related work as required.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Previous retail banking or similar experience required.
• Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist existing customers with basic account opening.
• Resolve account service issues for internal and external customers.
• Execute financial transactions in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
• Refer opportunities to segment partners where appropriate.
• Create sales opportunities through service transactions and promptly and effectively resolve customer complaints and issues.
• Support branch sales and service activities by participating in seminars, micromarketing events, promotional campaigns, and product initiatives.
• Follow operational controls, including legal, corporate, and regulatory procedures, to protect customer and bank assets.
• Assess risk in business decisions, protect the firm's reputation and the assets of Citi and its clients, comply with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies, exercise sound ethical judgment, and transparently escalate, manage, and report control issues.
