About The Position

United Community is seeking a Universal Banker II to deliver excellent experiences to customers and prospects. The role involves assisting with everyday transactions and supporting customers’ financial wellness through needs-based conversations and appropriate solutions. This is a full-time, non-remote, non-exempt position. The pay range is USD $34,102.00–$49,382.00 per year.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of previous banking and cash-handling experience.
• At least 1 year of lending experience.
• NMLS license required.
• Demonstrated analytical, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to uncover and provide solutions to meet customer needs.
• Must pass a criminal background and credit check.

Nice To Haves

• Current Notary Public Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive proactive needs-based sales conversations through customer interactions, including service-to-sales opportunities, teller interactions, and appointment setting.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of retail banking products and services.
• Enhance existing customer relationships and cultivate new ones by understanding and addressing customers’ needs and priorities.
• Deliver loan products and ensure loan packages are correct and complete to minimize exceptions.
• Identify opportunities and make referrals to cross-sell banking products and services in other areas of the bank.
• Educate customers about managing transactions using technology and other available tools and resources.
• Apply product and service knowledge to solve customer problems.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, and other routine transactions accurately and confidentially.
• Adhere to banking regulations and internal policies.
