About The Position

United Readers Mentors support kindergarten through fifth-grade students in Southern Nevada by helping improve literacy skills and reading fluency. Using a predetermined curriculum, lesson plans, and guidance from school learning facilitators, mentors lead lessons and activities for small groups during reading intervention blocks. The program aims to strengthen students’ foundational reading skills, increase reading proficiency, and improve third-grade reading scores.
