About The Position

The State Highway Administration's (SHA) Office of Real Estate (Baltimore City) is currently recruiting for a Unit Training Coordinator (Administrative Officer III) position. This position serves as the Office of Real Estate’s (ORE) Unit Training Coordinator (UTC) and is the Program Manager for the ORE Training Initiative. The overall duties and responsibilities are to plan, coordinate and oversee all training activities for ORE in HQ and the seven (7) district offices. This includes formulating, monitoring, and tracking the annual training budget for ORE. This position will also be managing and implementing all aspects of the Learning Management System Program. The UTC will manage, monitor, implement, design, deliver, coach, mentor, and manage all aspects of the Professional Development Program. Other duties include reviewing, editing, and approving all external training request requisitions in addition to procuring all out of state training and travel. In addition, this position serves as the Performance Excellence Specialist for ORE, which acts as a liaison to all ORE employees regarding performance excellence, continuous quality improvement, business planning, partnering, and all quality improvement initiatives. This position also serves as a liaison to the Director, ORE, and Deputy Administrator for all the above.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
  • Three (3) years of experience in administrative or professional work.
  • One (1) year of the required experience must have involved the management of comprehensive training programs, to include the formulation and oversight of a budget.
  • Possession of a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the state of Maryland.
