About The Position

Teknor Apex, a global custom compounder with a nearly hundred-year history, is seeking a Unit Operator for Color Production on the 3rd Shift. This is a full-time, on-site position crucial for team-based batch manufacturing. The role involves operating production equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring maximum line speeds and productivity. The ideal candidate will be able to identify and troubleshoot production issues, complete production records accurately, and maintain housekeeping and lean manufacturing standards. Adherence to safety policies and procedures is paramount. This role requires timely and regular attendance, and mandatory overtime may be necessary depending on business needs.

Requirements

• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to operate in a self-directed environment and complete tasks on time and thoroughly as assigned.
• Ability to demonstrate operational decision as required, maintaining production levels.
• Ability to read and write.
• Must be able to safely operate a forklift.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain established quality standards per production requirements.
• Maintain maximum line speeds and productivity of all machines assigned.
• Demonstrate ability to identify production issues and troubleshoot, as appropriate.
• Complete all required production records accurately and completely.
• Maintain housekeeping and lean manufacturing standards.
• Identify quality issues, attain established productivity standards, and maintain accurate daily production records.
• Understand and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Perform related responsibilities as required or directed.
