About The Position

Walther Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a CNC Operator to join its production team in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality machined parts, while maintaining precision, safety, and quality. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.

Candidates must undergo a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process. Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of these screenings.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC operator.
• Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling, as well as precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
• Computer savvy, with a basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM.
• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
• A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
• Good communication abilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is required for an employment offer.

• Certificate or diploma in engineering or a relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate CNC machines for tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling.
• Read blueprints and mechanical drawings to understand task specifications and desired results.
• Translate instructions into computer commands for machine operation.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto machines.
• Conduct test runs to verify machine outputs meet specifications.
• Set machines to complete full cycles for fabricating large numbers of parts.
• Supervise machines during operation and make necessary adjustments to improve results.
• Inspect and measure finished products against requirements to determine whether processing was completed properly.
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
