About The Position

Walther Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a CNC Operator to join its production team in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The operator produces high-quality machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines, helping maintain the company's standards for precision, safety, and quality. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC operator.
• Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling, as well as precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
• Computer savvy with a basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM.
• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
• Attention to detail and a results-driven approach.
• Good communication abilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Candidates must successfully complete a background check and drug screening; employment offers are contingent on passing these screenings.

Nice To Haves

• A certificate or diploma in engineering or a relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate CNC machines for tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling.
• Read blueprints and mechanical drawings to understand task specifications and desired results.
• Translate instructions into computer commands for machine operation.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto machines.
• Run tests to check whether machine outputs meet specifications.
• Set machines to complete full cycles for fabricating large numbers of parts.
• Supervise machines during operation and make adjustments as needed to improve results.
• Inspect and measure finished products against requirements.
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
