About The Position

Walther Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a CNC Operator to join its production team in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The role is responsible for producing high-quality machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines, while supporting the company’s commitment to precision, safety, and quality.

The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Candidates must complete a background check and drug screening; employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of these screenings.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC operator.
• Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling, as well as precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
• Computer skills, with a basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM.
• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
• Attention to detail and a results-driven approach.
• Good communication abilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is required for an employment offer.

Nice To Haves

• A certificate or diploma in engineering or a relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling.
• Read blueprints and mechanical drawings to understand task specifications and desired results.
• Translate instructions into computer commands for machine operation.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto machines.
• Run tests to check that machines produce outputs according to specifications.
• Set machines to complete full cycles for fabricating large numbers of parts.
• Supervise machines during operation and make necessary adjustments to improve results.
• Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements.
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
