About The Position
The Unit Operating Room Technician will be responsible for assisting in various surgical procedures within a fast-paced operating room environment. The role requires strong teamwork, efficiency, and a willingness to learn, as well as prior experience in scrubbing for surgeries.
Requirements
- Washington State license required.
- BLS certification is mandatory.
- Experience with DaVinci Xi for GYN, Uro, and General cases is necessary.
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of prior experience in an operating room setting is preferred, although first-time travelers are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Assist during surgical procedures by preparing surgical instruments and ensuring a sterile environment.
- Scrub in on a variety of surgical cases, including but not limited to GYN, Urology, Vascular, Plastic, Orthopedics, Neuro, Cardiovascular, Thoracic, General Surgery, and ENT.
- Maintain familiarity with complex cases, including total hips/knees, kidney transplants, and robotic-assisted surgeries using the DaVinci Xi system.
- Support the team through effective communication and collaboration with surgical staff.
- Participate in unit-specific orientation and continuing education opportunities.
