About The Position
Join our dynamic team in a fast-paced acute care environment focusing on a variety of cases including trauma, orthopedic, vascular, and general surgery. The unit emphasizes teamwork and high-quality patient care. Shift Details Variable call schedule, 1x per week, 8-hour shifts from 2300-0700 on weekdays. Weekend shifts consist of one of the following three options: 0630-1500, 1500-2300, or 2300-0700. Additional 12-hour mid shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, every other weekend, with call requirements.
Requirements
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification via NBSTSA is required.
- A valid license to practice as a Surgical Technologist is required.
- Proficient use of the Cerner electronic charting system is required for documenting patient care and surgical procedures.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures, ensuring the operating room is prepared and maintained to facilitate efficient surgeries.
- Preparing the operating room and surgical instruments.
- Assisting surgeons and surgical teams during procedures.
- Maintaining sterile techniques and environment.
- Monitoring patient safety and comfort throughout surgeries.
