About The Position

Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System is a 140-bed hospital offering inpatient services for adolescents, adults, military, veterans and first responders. Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System has a spacious cafeteria, gymnasium, art/activity room, group rooms, classrooms and other areas to create a pleasant atmosphere for patients and their families. Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System’s quality services are provided by psychiatrists, licensed therapists, certified alcohol and drug counselors, activity therapists and teachers. Also, care is given by registered nurses 24 hours a day. Since 1986, Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System has been a proven psychiatric care provider in mental health and substance use. As a Unit Manager you will work in an engaging environment with a team of professionals dedicated to the healing and health of the patients we serve. You will provide compassionate, hands-on support that addresses the physical, social, and behavioral needs of each patient.

Requirements

Current license to practice nursing in Kentucky (or eligible to receive or renew).
Current CPR or BLS certification.
Desire to work in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients of various ages.

Nice To Haves

Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients aged 5-65yrs+.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall functioning of the patient care unit
Assigns appropriate numbers and mix of staff as guided by the staffing plan based on census and patient acuity.
Responsible for directing and supervising staff in all clinical and administrative matters, ensuring that accreditation standards, practice standards, and policies and procedures are followed and maintained.
