About The Position

The Unit Clerk provides clerical and technical support services to nursing, clinical, and medical staff, with duties involving contact with members served. The position is with Telecare El Dorado County Psychiatric Health Facility, a 16-bed locked hospital facility providing acute inpatient psychiatric treatment to adults aged 18 and older who are diagnosed with a serious mental illness.

This is a full-time AM-shift position, scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The expected starting wage range is $19.28–$21.61, with geographic pay differentials; assigned pay depends on the location where the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

Requirements

• High school graduation or a G.E.D. equivalent.
• Six months of experience as a unit clerk or administrative support staff in a health care environment.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must hold CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certifications on the date of employment or within 60 days of employment, and maintain current certifications throughout employment.
• Successful completion and acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification are required.
• If driving is required for the position, a valid driver’s license, motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance are required at employment and must be maintained throughout employment.
