About The Position
The Unit Clerk provides clerical and technical support services to nursing, clinical, and medical staff and has contact with members served. The position is at Telecare El Dorado County Psychiatric Health Facility, a 16-bed locked hospital facility providing acute inpatient psychiatric treatment to adults aged 18 and older who have a serious mental illness. The role is scheduled full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The expected starting wage range is $19.28–$21.61, with geographic differentials applied and starting pay based on relevant experience above minimum requirements. Employment is contingent on successful completion and acceptable results of applicable post-offer examinations and clearances.
Requirements
- High school graduation or a G.E.D. equivalent.
- Six months of experience as a unit clerk or administrative support staff in a health care environment.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must hold CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certifications by the date of employment or within 60 days of employment, and maintain current certifications throughout employment.
- Must successfully complete applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification.
- If driving is required for the position, must have a valid driver's license, motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance at employment and maintain them throughout employment.
