Unit Assistant - Hospitalist - PT - Evenings
About The Position
The Unit Assistant provides compassionate, patient-focused customer service at the nursing station on the Hospitalist unit at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. The role helps keep a fast-paced environment running smoothly by coordinating appointments and performing clerical duties to support the timely, efficient, and accurate flow of patient information. The Unit Assistant welcomes and directs visitors and hospital colleagues, pages nurses, answers phones, and signs for important medical deliveries while maintaining a courteous and respectful demeanor and multitasking between people and responsibilities. This is a part-time evening position working 3:00 PM–11:15 PM, with alternate weekends. The listed start date is November 2, 2026, and the end date is November 14, 2026.
Requirements
- At least one year of previous clerical experience.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- High school diploma.

Responsibilities
