Unit Assistant I - Cox Medical Center Branson
About The Position
A Unit Assistant I completes assigned duties under the direct supervision of healthcare staff and communicates effectively with members of the care delivery team. During the program, the assistant is pre-assigned to explore different healthcare departments and gain exposure to various career pathways, daily healthcare routines, and the academic, technical, and personal skills required in healthcare professions. The role provides opportunities to identify healthcare career interests. After completing the program, the Unit Assistant I completes an interview for possible advancement to a Unit Assistant II role in an area of interest. Multiple program opportunities are available at Cox Medical Center Branson.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a high school or high school equivalent program.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Able to communicate and work with a wide variety of staff, patients, and families.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Flexibility and ability to accept direction from members of the care team.
- No prior experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Enrolled in a Health Science Program.
