This position involves performing commercial roofing work in compliance with Local 69 work rules, manufacturer specifications, and OSHA safety standards. Requirements
- Ability to work safely at heights and in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and professionalism
- Ability to work productively as part of a union crew
Nice To Haves
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
- Experience on large-scale commercial or industrial projects
- Willingness to support and work alongside apprentices when assigned
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial roofing systems
- Perform work on TPO, EPDM, PVC
- Follow Local 69 work rules and Collective Bargaining Agreement guidelines
- Be on time and prepared for work
- Safely operate roofing tools, equipment, and machinery
- Work cooperatively with foremen, crew members, and apprentices
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
- Comply with OSHA and all job site safety requirements
- Supervise and lead union commercial roofing crews on active job sites
- Coordinate daily work assignments in accordance with Local 69 work rules
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders
- Ensure quality workmanship and compliance with manufacturer specifications
- Enforce OSHA regulations and Local 69 safety standards
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and manage production goals
- Train, guide, and support apprentices and crew members
- Communicate effectively with project managers, general contractors, and inspectors
- Track labor hours, materials, and job progress
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times
