This role is for a Unified Flag Football Assistant Coach at Corcoran for the Fall 2026 season. The district offers 120 athletic teams for students in grades 7-12, with a coaching staff of certified, dedicated individuals who enjoy working with student athletes. The modified program (grades 7-8) emphasizes skill development, participation, discipline, enjoyment, competition, and hard work, rather than winning. The high school program (freshman, JV, Varsity) focuses on skill refinement, competition, academics, goal setting, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship.

Requirements

• New York State Coaching Certification
• Valid First Aid course
• Valid Adult CPR certification
• Workshop - Child Abuse Identification
• Workshop - School Violence Intervention and Prevention
• Workshop - Dignity For All Students Act (DASA)
• Fingerprint Clearance
• School District Recommendation
• Pass a fingerprint-based background check

Responsibilities

• Assist in coaching the Unified Flag Football team.
• Work with student athletes in grades 7-12.

• Stress the development of academics, goal setting, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship at the high school level.
