About The Position

The Syracuse City School District is seeking a dedicated and diverse team of educators to partner with them in moving the district toward its goals. The district represents 35 schools and programs, serving approximately 19,000 students Pre-K–12. This position is for the Girls Varsity Volleyball Assistant Coach for Nottingham High School for the Fall 2026 season. The district offers 120 different athletic teams for students in grades 7-12, with a coaching staff of certified, dedicated people who enjoy working with student athletes. The modified program for grades 7-8 emphasizes discipline, enjoyment of play, competition, and dedication, preparing students for higher-level high school competition. At the high school level, the focus is on the development of academics, goal setting, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship.

• New York State Coaching Certification
• Valid First Aid course
• Valid Adult CPR certification
• Workshop - Child Abuse Identification
• Workshop - School Violence Intervention and Prevention
• Workshop - Dignity For All Students Act (DASA)
• Fingerprint Clearance
• School District Recommendation
• Pass a fingerprint-based background check
