About The Position

Vamonos IT is seeking a UC Systems Administrator responsible for the configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and technical support of Unified Communications (UC) infrastructure. This role ensures uninterrupted, secure, and high-quality communication services across all of our Federal Customer’s locations. The successful candidate will support incident resolution and service restoration efforts, maintain compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), and contribute to the transition toward a cloud-native Microsoft Teams-based UC environment. This position plays a key role in modernization initiatives, security compliance, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in UC infrastructure technologies, including: Avaya Government Cloud telephony, Cisco Unified Communications infrastructure, Microsoft Teams collaboration services
  • Experience configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise UC environments
  • Experience managing service delivery and ensuring compliance with defined SLAs
  • Technical knowledge of hybrid on-premises and cloud environments
  • Ability to analyze performance data, service trends, and workload metrics
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Familiarity with modernization initiatives and UC integration requirements
  • Knowledge of enterprise UC architecture and design principles
  • Experience coordinating with vendors and managing escalations
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Collaboration or equivalent certification
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar cloud certification
  • Experience supporting large federal enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with cloud-native UC migrations and modernization programs

Responsibilities

  • Configure, administer, and support enterprise UC platforms and infrastructure
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify service issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve UC incidents while meeting defined SLAs
  • Support Microsoft Teams-based collaboration services and modernization initiatives
  • Analyze operational metrics and recommend service improvements
  • Coordinate with vendors and support teams to resolve escalated issues
  • Ensure compliance with security, operational, and communication requirements
  • Maintain system documentation and operational procedures
  • Participate in architecture reviews and technology modernization efforts
