About The Position

The All Stars Project is seeking a motivated student for an Underwriting Intern position in Chicago. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop personal skills in a corporate setting within a Fortune 500 insurance company. Interns will gain key insights into the commercial insurance industry, working alongside experienced professionals and contributing to meaningful assignments. The program emphasizes a supportive and structured learning environment, including an orientation program, training, and exposure to various aspects of the business.

Responsibilities

Engage in the fast-paced day-to-day operations of a Hartford Underwriter.
Actively participate in shadowing and mentoring sessions, meetings, special projects, and self-directed learning modules.
Gather weekly data and analyze it against metrics such as monthly budget or sales goals.
Write emails to communicate results of analytics or the status of special projects.
Engage in internal or external meetings by preparing, asking questions, and taking notes.
Create a Capstone Project to be presented to a large group, including senior and executive leaders at The Hartford.
