About The Position

The Allied Solutions internship program is a robust and consistent internship program for juniors and seniors. The program will focus on learning and development as well as hands-on experience. The program will immerse the intern into a broad range of responsibilities, allowing you to execute projects within your area of professional interests. Interested applicants must be available during the 12-week program (May 17th – Aug. 6th, 2026). This is a full-time internship (40-hours per week) based at our headquarters in Carmel, IN. As an Underwriting Intern, you will support process improvement initiatives by reviewing and documenting underwriting workflows, identifying gaps, and recommending enhancements. You’ll conduct quality assurance audits of underwriting and compliance data, analyze key metrics, and assist in developing reporting tools or dashboards for leadership. In addition, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate corrective actions, help maintain QA documentation, and contribute to operational improvements. The internship will conclude with a presentation to RMO leadership, where you’ll share your findings and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program as a Junior or Senior, pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with data visualization tools a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support process improvement initiatives by reviewing and documenting underwriting workflows, identifying gaps, and recommending enhancements.
  • Conduct quality assurance audits of compliance data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on metrics; assist in developing a dashboard or reporting tool for leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and ensure corrective actions are clearly communicated.
  • Help maintain QA documentation and contribute to process improvements.
  • Present findings and recommendations to RMO leadership at the conclusion of the internship.
