Underground Mobile Mechanic
About The Position
MasterTech is seeking Heavy-Duty Mobile Mechanics in Mullan, Idaho, to join a team of underground mining mechanics. The role involves maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing specialized heavy-duty equipment on-site underground. Heavy equipment mechanic experience in fields such as drilling, earth-moving, construction, mining, or agriculture will be considered. Compensation is $30.00–$60.00 per hour based on experience, with incentives and profit sharing. Profit sharing averages about $6–$8 per hour. Relocation assistance may be available on a case-by-case basis. The position includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, a Safety & Environmental Incentive plan, a service truck for on-site work, and company-provided tools. The schedule rotates between days and nights and offers overtime. Work schedules include 5-on/4-off, 4-on/5-off, and 5-on/5-off rotations.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience working on heavy equipment, such as drilling, earth-moving, construction, mining, or agricultural equipment.
- Excellent understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency troubleshooting issues and using diagnostic software.
- Experience with welding and fabrication.
- Valid driver's license with a clean record.
