About The Position

Safely operate, repair, rebuild, and maintain company-owned or leased heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment, including rolling stock, to ensure they can operate safely. This is a service-call-heavy position provided with a company truck. The shift starts at 4 a.m., with days expected to be 11 hours. Overtime is paid after 40 hours. Starting pay is $30–$35 per hour, with the possibility of higher pay based on experience, certifications, and skill level. The role focuses on diesel refuse trucks and includes inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance. GFL is an equal opportunity employer. Responsibilities

Perform daily inspections of diesel refuse trucks.
Diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on diesel refuse trucks.
Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep refuse trucks operating safely and reliably.
Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
