About The Position
Whipple Service Champions is growing its underground division and seeks motivated individuals with a solid excavation background. This role supports plumbing and underground teams by safely exposing utilities, digging trenches, operating equipment, and assisting with underground repair and replacement projects.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of residential service excavation experience.
- Proven experience in sewer line repair and replacement, sewer line installations, pipe bursting operations, and main line pulling, repair, replacement, and bursting.
- Knowledge of underground utility systems, trenching, and excavation methods.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Assist with sewer line repairs, replacements, liner installations, and pipe bursting projects.
- Assist with diagnosing underground utility issues and determining effective repair or replacement options.
- Pull, repair, replace, and burst main water service lines.
- Safely and efficiently operate excavators, mini excavators, and other excavation equipment.
- Read and interpret utility locates, site plans, and project specifications.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following safety procedures and best practices.
