About The Position

At Einstein Bros. Bagels, we believe in the bagel and have been baking them fresh daily since 1995. We aim to spread joy and happiness and are committed to work-life balance for our team, with stores closing at 2pm so employees don't miss personal events. We are looking for a General Manager to oversee all aspects of the store with a “treat it like you own it” philosophy. The role operates on a one-shift-model, with leaders starting as early as 4am for the first bake and store opening. During the day, the GM ensures the store is audit ready, executes catering, mobile, and in-store orders, and provides an exceptional customer experience. GMs are hands-on, floating in all positions during breakfast and lunch rushes, managing breaks, and striving for good customer survey results. After the doors close at 2pm, it typically takes 30-45 minutes to close and prep for the next day. Administrative tasks like scheduling, ordering, or inventory are often handled before opening or after closing. The daily deposit to the bank is also part of the role, with the workday concluding well before dinner time. The company provides 5 weeks of training to prepare GMs for these responsibilities.

Requirements

1-3 years prior General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience in a restaurant setting
Hands-on operator
Ability to simultaneously motivate and inspire the team to fun-ness
Tried and true strategies for achieving food cost goals and labor targets
Must be at least 18 years old to apply

Prior exposure to P&L analysis is valuable

Responsibilities
