About The Position

At Einstein Bros. Bagels, we believe in the bagel and have been baking them fresh daily since 1995. Our bakeries aim to spread joy and happiness, and we are committed to work-life balance for our team, with stores closing at 2pm. We are looking for a General Manager to oversee all aspects of the store with a 'treat it like you own it' philosophy. The role involves starting as early as 4am for the first bake and opening the store. During the day, the GM ensures the store is audit-ready, executes catering, mobile, and in-store orders, and provides an exceptional customer experience. General Managers float in all positions where needed during breakfast and lunch rushes, manage breaks, and aim for good customer survey results. After closing at 2pm, it typically takes 30-45 minutes to close and prep for the next day. Administrative tasks like scheduling, ordering, or inventory are often done before opening or after closing. The daily deposit is taken to the bank, and the workday concludes well before dinner time. The company provides 5 weeks of training for this role.

Requirements

1-3 years prior General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience in a restaurant setting
Hands-on operator
Ability to simultaneously motivate and inspire the team
Tried and true strategies for achieving food cost goals and labor targets
Must be at least 18 years old to apply
