Unarmed Uniformed Security Agent-On Call
About The Position
The Unarmed Uniformed Security Agent protects people and property from possible criminal activity and helps maintain safe, problem-free facilities. The role involves surveillance, identifying suspicious behavior, preventing vandalism, theft, and other criminal conduct, and responding appropriately to incidents. The agent is expected to be observant, communicate with authority, and remain calm in high-pressure situations. The position is on call and part time. Previous experience is a plus but is not required. A high school diploma or equivalent and security guard training certification for the applicable state are required. The role may involve extended periods of standing, sitting, walking, and monitoring surveillance equipment, as well as responding quickly to emergencies and working in varying weather or low-light conditions.
Requirements

- Security guard training certification required for the applicable state.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Authoritative verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings.
- Previous experience is a plus but is not required.
- Ability to perform extended periods of physical activity, stand alert for up to 8–12 hours, and sit for long durations while maintaining awareness.
- Ability to patrol on foot, access areas quickly, walk on uneven surfaces, and frequently walk or climb stairs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and respond quickly in emergencies.
- Sufficient vision and hearing to observe and respond to incidents, including at night or in low-light conditions.
- Physical ability to capture and detain individuals if necessary.
- Ability to monitor surveillance equipment for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities
- Patrol and monitor an assigned area and report suspicious activities to local authorities.
- Monitor surveillance cameras, inspect property, and monitor crowds.
- Contact law enforcement or the fire department in an emergency.
- After business hours, check doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure.
- Investigate reports of suspicious activity on the property.
- Reasonably detain persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives.
- Escort discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Communicate respectfully with team members, vendors, and clients; support the team environment; and complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
