About The Position

Physical Security Officers (PSOs) are the front line of OPS Security Group’s security services, working in demanding, fast-paced environments and protecting people, information, and property while delivering high-end customer service. This position monitors two assigned locations on an overnight schedule: Wednesday through Friday in Pedricktown, New Jersey, and Saturday through Sunday in Pennsauken, New Jersey. The schedule is 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 40 hours per week, at $18.00 per hour. A company vehicle is provided for assigned on-site duties.

Employment offers are contingent on successful completion of required background screenings, including federal, state, and local criminal history checks and a Child Abuse History Clearance. Checks are conducted after a conditional offer and as permitted by law. A criminal record does not automatically disqualify a candidate; results are reviewed individually.

Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required to operate company vehicles.
• Must be available to work the assigned overnight schedule at both locations.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel independently to each assigned site.
• Strong observation, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and remain alert during overnight hours.
• Ability to follow instructions and respond appropriately to security concerns.
• Ability to work under stress or pressure.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Ability to wear a uniform.

Nice To Haves

• Previous security, patrol, gatehouse, or access control experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain security of assigned properties.
• Record and track incoming and outgoing truck activity, maintaining accurate logs.
• Conduct routine property patrols using a company-provided vehicle as assigned.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, or security incidents.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation.
• Follow site-specific security procedures and company policies.
• Communicate professionally with drivers, visitors, and site personnel.
