About The Position

The Unarmed Security Officer controls access to company facilities, monitors visitor and vehicle activity, performs security patrols, and supports emergency response. The role also involves operating video surveillance equipment, maintaining logs, verifying deliveries, and opening or closing the facility when needed.

The schedule is Friday through Monday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Tuesday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Pay is $20.00 per hour plus a $1.50 per hour shift differential.

Requirements

• Six months to one year of relevant experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic computer skills.
• Proficiency in English.

Nice To Haves

• New York State Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Control access to company facilities, log visitors, and escort terminated associates.
• Monitor and log vehicle traffic entering and exiting the premises.
• Answer and direct phone calls after business hours and handle inquiries as needed.
• Perform patrol rounds to ensure security and safety compliance.
• Assist with emergency responses and contact appropriate agencies as required.
• Operate and monitor video surveillance systems and maintain activity logs.
• Verify truck and trailer deliveries and record details in the MMS system.
• Open or close the facility as needed, including following alarm and keypad procedures.
