About The Position

The Unarmed Security Officer controls access to company facilities, monitors vehicle traffic, performs patrols, supports emergency response, and operates video surveillance systems. The role also includes answering and directing after-hours phone calls, verifying truck and trailer deliveries in the MMS system, and opening or closing the facility using alarm and keypad procedures.

The schedule is Friday through Monday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Pay is $20.00 per hour plus a $1.50 per hour shift differential.

Requirements

• Six months to one year of relevant experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic computer skills.
• Proficiency in English.

Nice To Haves

• New York State Certification.

Responsibilities

• Control access to company facilities, including logging visitors and escorting terminated associates.
• Monitor and log vehicle traffic entering and exiting the premises.
• Answer and direct phone calls after business hours and handle inquiries as needed.
• Perform patrol rounds to ensure security and safety compliance.
• Assist with emergency responses and contact appropriate agencies as required.
• Operate and monitor video surveillance systems and maintain activity logs.
• Verify truck and trailer deliveries and log details into the MMS system.
• Open or close the facility as needed, including following alarm and keypad procedures.
