About The Position

Doyle Security Services is hiring an Unarmed Security Officer in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The officer travels to multiple locations in a company-owned pickup truck or other large vehicle to conduct security inspections. This is an outdoor position in wooded and rural environments, with exposure to hot summers, cold winters, and wildlife. The company provides winter clothing. The officer observes and reports activity, helps protect client property and personnel, checks for irregularities, preserves order, and may enforce site rules and directives. The role requires standing for most of the workday. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 0600–1400. Pay is up to $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED.
Clean driving record.
Ability to understand English and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Physical ability to perform the tasks required by the position.
Ability to stand for the majority of the workday.

Responsibilities

Operate a company-owned pickup truck or other large vehicle and travel to multiple locations to conduct security inspections.
Check reservoir dams and spillways for overflow and damage.
Check customer property for remnants of campfires and camping.
Respond to locations and engage with trespassers, hunters, fishermen, and other individuals on the property.
Open and close gates, and check locks, gates, and fence lines.
Observe and report activities and incidents at assigned client sites.
Make periodic tours to check for irregularities and help ensure the security and safety of client property and personnel.
Preserve order and enforce site regulations and directives pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises as appropriate.
Write and submit timely daily, incident, and other reports electronically using a company smartphone.
