About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed in Summerville, South Carolina, you will serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, report security-related concerns, provide customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support a welcoming environment. This is a full-time position paying $17.51 per hour. The posted schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, office areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity and potential security concerns.
Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and delivery traffic, and escalate unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events calmly, following established emergency response procedures.
Accurately document patrol findings, incidents, and security-related observations and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
