About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Security Officer for a retail location in Jacksonville, Florida. The officer will help safeguard clients and visitors by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible and helpful presence, monitoring activity, responding to incidents, and documenting security-related information. The role supports a welcoming environment for shoppers, employees, and visitors while following site-specific procedures and policies. The schedule is Wednesday 4:30 PM–11:30 PM, Friday 5:30 AM–2:30 PM, Saturday 11:30 AM–11:30 PM, and Sunday 2:30 PM–11:30 PM. Pay is $25.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store personnel by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity while maintaining a professional, helpful presence.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and in a problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and reporting requirements.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
