About The Position

The Unarmed Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, visitors, and property. Officers monitor premises, enforce site policies, patrol designated areas, respond to incidents, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED.
Candidates assigned to mobile patrol or vehicle-based posts must meet company eligibility requirements for Mobile Security Officer status, including successful completion of required driving and insurance qualification reviews.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
Excellent observation and attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
Basic computer and report-writing skills.

Ability to climb stairs and perform routine patrols.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Nice To Haves

Previous security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned properties.
Monitor entrances, exits, and access control points.
Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security violations.
Complete incident, accident, and daily activity reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Respond to emergencies and contact law enforcement, fire, or medical personnel when necessary.
Enforce client and company policies and procedures.
Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and clients.
Maintain a visible security presence to deter criminal activity.
Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems, when applicable.
Perform other security-related duties as assigned.
