Unarmed Security Officer (Corporate Building)
About The Position
Doyle Security Services (DSS) provides customized security solutions and investigative services, focusing on protecting clients’ people and property. The Unarmed Security Officer observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site to help ensure the security and safety of client property and personnel. The officer makes periodic tours to check for irregularities, preserves order, and may enforce site regulations and directives relating to personnel, visitors, and premises. The work requires standing for most of the workday. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 1500–2300. Pay is up to USD $19.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Must be available to work weekends.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to verbally de-escalate situations.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to stand for the majority of the workday.
Responsibilities
- Report irregularities and inform violators of policies and procedures.
- Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and permitting entry.
- Record observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interview witnesses; and obtain signatures to complete reports.
- Perform tasks assigned by a supervisor or manager.
