About The Position
Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. The work requires the ability to stand for the majority of the workday. The schedule is 0800–0000 on Saturday and Sunday. Pay starts at USD $20.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Must be available to work weekends.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to verbally de-escalate situations.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to stand for the majority of the workday.
Responsibilities
- Report irregularities and inform violators of policies and procedures.
- Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and permitting entry.
- Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; and obtaining signatures.
- Perform tasks assigned by a supervisor or manager.
