About The Position

Coastal Security Services, Inc. (CSSI) is continuously hiring Unarmed Security Officers for client sites in Pooler, Savannah, and Rincon, Georgia. Posts include gated residential communities, industrial campuses, hotel and commercial properties, and federal facilities. This is a standing posting for ongoing hiring across multiple sites rather than a single opening. Applicants who clear screening are placed when a post fits their license, location, and availability; cleared candidates who are not immediately placed remain on file for future openings.

Officers control access at gates and entry points, patrol buildings and grounds, monitor CCTV and alarm systems, document activity, report hazards and suspicious behavior, and serve as the first point of contact for people entering the property. Sites operate 24/7/365. Shift lengths and rotations vary by post and include 8-hour and 12-hour shifts on days, evenings, and overnights. Most posts require weekend availability. Full-time and part-time schedules are available.

Pay is determined by assigned post. Unarmed posts in the area start at $18.00 per hour, with higher rates at select sites. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the regular rate for hours over 40 in a work week. CSSI offers training through its Training Academy at no cost and a growth path into site supervisor, field coordinator, and district leadership roles.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Currently hold, or be able to obtain, Georgia security officer registration.
• Pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Be able to stand, walk, and patrol for a full shift.
• Have clear verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Prior security experience.
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
• Industrial, residential, or commercial security experience.
• Prior military or law enforcement service.

Responsibilities

• Control access at gates and entry points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems and respond to incidents and alarms.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, daily activity reports, and incident reports.
• Observe and report safety hazards, policy violations, and suspicious activity.
• Serve as the professional first point of contact for everyone entering the property.
