About The Position

Doyle Security Services (DSS) is currently seeking UNARMED SECURITY OFFICERS for a college campus in Nassau County, NY. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The officer conducts regular patrols of campus grounds and facilities, monitors access points, responds to incidents and emergencies, and enforces campus policies and procedures. The role provides customer service while remaining vigilant for suspicious activity or safety hazards. Strong communication, observation, and conflict resolution skills are essential, as the officer must accurately document incidents, collaborate with campus administration and local authorities when necessary, and uphold a professional presence at all times.

Requirements

High School Diploma / GED required.
5-7 Year U.S. work history may be required.
Valid NYS Security Guard License.
Must have a valid driver License.
This position requires the ability to stand for long periods.
Must be able to understand the English language and communicate effectively in both the verbal and written form.
Must be physically able to perform the tasks required by the position.

Responsibilities

Monitoring and reporting activities and incidents at the assigned site to ensure the safety and security of personnel and property.
Conducting regular foot patrols and completing scans.
Maintaining order and enforcing site-specific regulations and directives related to personnel, visitors, and the premises.
Securing premises by inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
Completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
Tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.
